The challenge:
Designing a visual language for a therapeutic board game aimed at children aged 6 and up. The project required the creation of a vibrant and engaging aesthetic that resonated with young audiences while supporting the game’s therapeutic goals. A key element was the characterization and illustration of three unique lead characters that would guide players through the game’s journey.
My solution:
I developed a playful yet meaningful visual language that balanced warmth and accessibility with emotional depth. Each of the three lead characters was carefully conceptualized and illustrated to reflect distinct traits, making them relatable and memorable for children. The final design brought the game’s world to life, enhancing its appeal and functionality while supporting its therapeutic objectives.
In this project, I was asked to create a visual identity for a therapeutic board game and illustrate the characters that lead the game.
This project combines dog therapy, questions and tasks to help children discuss their feelings and thoughts. The design project includes character illustrations, box, board, and card designs. It's a unique project that I'm excited to share.
